Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about our henna and Jagua services.
General Questions
Everything you need to know about henna, Jagua, and our process.
For the darkest stain, apply henna 1–2 days before your event. The initial colour will be orange and will darken to a rich brown over 24–48 hours. For bridal henna, we recommend scheduling your appointment 2 days before the wedding.
Henna stains typically last 1–3 weeks depending on placement, aftercare, and skin type. Palms and hands tend to stain darkest and last longest. Avoid excessive hand washing and keep the area moisturized for best results.
Yes! We use 100% organic, natural henna powder mixed with essential oils. Our henna is free from PPD, chemicals, and artificial dyes. It is safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin and during pregnancy.
Henna produces a warm brown-to-maroon stain, while Jagua creates a blue-black colour that resembles a real tattoo. Both are natural and temporary. Henna comes from the Lawsonia inermis plant, and Jagua from the Genipa americana fruit. Jagua requires only 1–2 hours of application time versus 6+ hours for henna paste.

Preparation & Aftercare
Tips for getting the best stain and caring for your henna.
Make sure the area is clean, dry, and free of lotions or oils. Exfoliate the skin a day before your appointment for better stain absorption. Wear comfortable clothing that won't press against the henna while it dries.
Keep the paste on for at least 4–6 hours (overnight is best). After removing the paste, avoid water for 12–24 hours. Apply a thin layer of coconut or olive oil to seal in the colour. Avoid chlorine, harsh soaps, and excessive hand washing.
