1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking an appointment with or using the services of Henna By Bowmi ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services

Henna By Bowmi provides professional henna and Jagua body art services for weddings, events, parties, and individual appointments in Edmonton, Alberta and surrounding areas. All designs are created using 100% organic, natural henna paste. We also offer Jagua (a plant-based temporary tattoo alternative) and henna cones for at-home use.

3. Bookings & Appointments

All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit. Please refer to our Booking Policy for full details on deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, and travel fees.

4. Pricing

Prices are based on the complexity, size, and placement of the design as well as the type of event. Quotes are provided before booking and are valid for 30 days. Final pricing may vary if the scope of work changes at the time of the appointment. All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact information and appointment details at the time of booking.
  • Inform us of any skin conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before your appointment.
  • Ensure the skin area to be hennaed is clean, dry, and free from lotions, oils, or self-tanner.
  • Arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.
  • Follow all aftercare instructions provided to achieve the best results.
  • Supervise children during henna application sessions.

6. Results & Satisfaction

Henna stain colour and longevity vary based on skin type, body temperature, placement on the body, and aftercare. We cannot guarantee specific stain results. We strive to create beautiful designs that meet your expectations and will work with you on design preferences before and during your appointment.

7. Health & Safety Disclaimer

Our henna is made from 100% natural, organic ingredients and does not contain PPD or other harmful additives. However, natural products can still cause reactions in rare cases. If you experience irritation, remove the paste immediately and seek medical advice. We are not liable for allergic reactions or skin sensitivities. A patch test is recommended for individuals with sensitive skin or known allergies.

8. Intellectual Property

All henna designs, photographs, and content on this website are the intellectual property of Henna By Bowmi. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our designs or images for commercial purposes without our written permission. Photographs taken of your henna design during your appointment may be used by Henna By Bowmi for portfolio and marketing purposes unless you request otherwise.

9. Limitation of Liability

Henna By Bowmi is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not responsible for stain results that do not meet expectations due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to skin type, aftercare, and environmental conditions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
